CTE Carpentry Camp – Students become NCCER Core certified in this 12-day camp. 10th-12th graders are invited to this beginning construction class to learn industry-specific knowledge and techniques. Participants will experience reading blueprints, how to measure accurately, and use tools safely. Students also learn how to put in a floor, walls, ceiling and roof, framing and window installation. Students have the opportunity to earn the NCCER Core certification and .5 high school credit.
NCCER’s Core Curriculum is a prerequisite to all other Level 1 craft curriculum. Trainees learn the basic skills needed to continue education in any craft area, studying modules such as Basic Safety, Communication Skills and Introduction to Construction Drawings.
